Welcome to Adansa. These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Adansa app and services. By creating an account or using Adansa, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding agreement to use Adansa. You agree to provide accurate information and to complete identity verification (KYC) where required.

2. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your account and device secure, and for all activity that happens under your account. Please notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access. We may suspend or close any account that violates these Terms, or that we reasonably believe is involved in fraud or misuse.

3. Savings groups

Adansa lets you create and join savings groups, such as classic susu, target savings, and hybrid groups. When you join a group, you agree to its rules, including the contribution amount, frequency and payout arrangement. You are responsible for making your contributions on time. Missing contributions may affect your trust score and your standing in a group.

4. Custodial wallet and funds

Adansa provides a custodial wallet that holds funds on your behalf to facilitate group contributions, payouts and loans. Adansa is not a bank, and does not pay interest on balances. Funds moving into and out of the wallet are processed through third-party mobile-money and payment providers, and are subject to their availability and timing.

5. Cooperative lending

Some groups offer cooperative lending. Loans are funded from the group’s pooled contributions, not by Adansa. If you request or receive a loan, you agree to the group’s lending terms, including any interest and the repayment schedule. Failure to repay may affect your trust score and your eligibility for future loans.

6. Fees

Any fees for using Adansa or its services will be disclosed to you before they apply. Third-party providers, such as mobile-money operators, may charge their own fees, which are outside our control.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Adansa to break the law, defraud others, launder money, impersonate anyone, or interfere with the service or its security. You also agree to provide truthful identity information.

8. Service availability

We work to keep Adansa available and reliable, but the service is provided “as is”, and we cannot guarantee that it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. We may modify, suspend or discontinue features at any time.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Adansa is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, or for losses arising from third-party providers, the conduct of group members, or events outside our reasonable control.

10. Termination

You may stop using Adansa at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms. Some obligations, including outstanding contributions and loan repayments, survive termination.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana, and any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Ghana.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will revise the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continued use of Adansa after the changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
